Opportunity and feasibility studies for the BOOT, BOT type projects
The carrying out of such studies is not different than the method presented at Prefeasibility, because these studies are worked out to obtain financing as well, their particularity being represented by the way the investor is recovering its investment.

Usually, such projects are met in the public utilities sector, the facilities being developed/constructed by private investors, following to be transferred to the public sector.

This way: for the BOOT type projects (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) the investor builds the objective (an infrastructure project) becomes its owner and operates it for a certain period of time (20 to 25 years), while it recovers the investment. At the end of this period, the objective is transferred to the final beneficiary;

BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) - a company builds the objective (an infrastructure project) operates it for a period of time (depending on the way the investor recovers its investment), and at the end of this period the objective is transferred to the final beneficiary;

A special case of these project is the Public-Private Partnership, when a local authority enters a joint-venture with a private investor, following that after a certain period of time (previously negotiated, but enaugh for the investor to recover its costs) to obtain the facility for free.
